Sometimes

Sometimes I get stuck in time...

…transfixed on a velvelty petal…

…or a dapple of light.

I become consumed with the bend of a stem...

…or the intricate pattern of a leaf.

I used to think it was about paying attention to the details.

But recently I have realized it's much more.

It's about our own personal interpretation of the details.

It's about the way the details make us feel...

…or hope...

….or dream….or plan.

…or believe.

Sometimes.

  4. That's what I like about photography--it helps (almost forces) me to see the details. And, when I see the intricacies of design in nature, I feel a sense of awe for the Creator.

You have a beautiful garden. I have soft spot for zinnias and roses.

It's been FAR too long since I've had a walk around Prince Edward Farm!!! :) This post was JUST what I needed this morning. Gladiolas are gorgeous and I'm glad each of these flowers caught your eye!

    2. Did you say you were going to try "eating" them?

    3. Oh NO! Definitely no eating! A bit of autocorrect and poor editing on my part! I think I will delete so no one tries!
