Welcome to September!
Thanks for being patient and sticking around as I make my transition from
A Nantucket State of Mind to Prince Snow Farm.
When I was redesigning the header, I showed my husband and he said you all
would think we were a turkey farm.
I reassured him that I have pretty smart readers and you all know we are NOT a turkey farm.
But then I was out there again chasing them all over the field with the camera.
I find them so beautiful.
They were trying to get away from the crazy lady in the green boots with a camera :)
I followed them up the hill and across the stone wall....
and then they headed into the front yard...which is essentially a dead end street.
I think I counted 8 babies.
Then they snuck behind the hydrangeas...
ALL of them!
And one by one came out on the top of the pergola behind the hydrangeas
(remember we are on a hill).
At this moment they are making an escape plan.
And one by one these huge birds took flight and flew back to the tall grasses near the woods.
I wish I could have captured it for you. Here on our non-turkey farm.
(and I never have lived on Nantucket, but that's a story for another day).
