❤❤ Think Pink ❤❤

Somehow at this time of year we start to notice things....
I've been noticing the "pink" things around my home...
maybe it's
the love in the air
as
Valentine's Day gets closer...

A bird on a linen pillow...lovingly handmade by a local
crafter who I wish I could find...

A pink vintage clock ...a very feminine addition to a boudoir...

Ticking away still....

A beautiful tole tray...found
on an antique adventure many years ago...

A hand-painted antique box...

...filled with treasures from my childhood.
My daughter keeps it in her room and
lovingly lays them out from time
to time.
It makes me smile.

  1. Oh, I do love those treasures. Though I don't have any of mine, I have many boxes and drawers filled with my children's treasures.

    1. Thanks Madge! They each have a special story...the little china pieces were in my stocking when I was little...the cat I bought at an antique store when I was young, the various mice were given by friends because "mouse" was my nickname!

  4. My grandma had a little travel clock just like yours. She always brought it in her suitcase when she came and set it next to her bed, along with her cough drops. Oh, thanks for reminding me of this little detail.

    kindly,

    1. It's 10:57 here right now and the snow has started coming down steadily. We are expecting heavy winds was as well. A bit of candlelight perhaps??

  8. I think we are drawn
    to pink in the bleak
    mid-winter as its
    softness reminds us
    of the spring that is
just ahead of us : )

    My daughter has my
old tea set in her room.
    It is a blue willow
    pattern and it makes
    me smile to think of
    the hours I played with
    it!

    Have a lovely weekend!

  10. Such a pretty post. I love pink - especially the shade in the wild fragrant roses that grace Nova Scotia. I'm glad that you aren't living in Nantucket this weekend! And I hope you are safe in your southern Mass. seaside town. I'm not sure that's any better than being on NI! Take care!
