How are you enjoying the weekend?
I had to run an errand in town this morning....
and then took an unplanned
turn by the ocean
on the way home.
Even on a chilly, gusty winter's day,
there is something magical and soothing
as you look out across the
wide open expanse of
steel blue
water.
It's a powerful dose of
motivation.
It encourages you to chase your dreams...
...to create
dreamy little Paris inspired
vignettes...
“Now is no time to think of what you do not have. Think of what you can do with what there is.”
― Ernest Hemingway, The Old Man and the Sea
Enjoy your weekend.

DeleteYes, you are right....nature is amazing!
I think I could stand and breath in that ocean air for hours, so very beautiful (wrapped up, mind!). The light house is really wonderful. Love the quote, it is something we all need to say more often to ourselves!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your inspiring post and beautiful burlap favor bags - perfect for a country-chic wedding. We are off to Paris next Thursday for a week (Aston's Grandparents are arriving to pug-sit from London!), very excited!!
Best wishes and happy you are on the mend,
Ivan
Me too Ivan. This particular location is ocean as far as the eye can see. It is such a beautiful spot. Lucky for me it is a 3 minute drive. You have made me so proud of my tinkering...country chic is exactly the look I was going for.
DeleteOff to Paris! May I tag along? Any time you need a pug sitter, I would love to help out:) Time to update my passport! And Stormy knows you would take great care of her as well !
Dear ND,
ReplyDeleteThat first photograph is super. I could imagine myself walking along there with AGA in tow - and a bouncing dog.
And like Ivan, I do like that Hemingway quote. It makes you think, doesn't it.
I hope you have a nice weekend!
Kirk

What a pretty post! I would love to see the ocean on my way home from errands, you lucky girl. Something about the ocean is just so soothing to the soul, isn't it? And what a clear blue sky kind of day to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYes, it never grows old! It is soothing....delightful!
DeleteI love the sea in winter too. How wonderful to have it close by. You are lucky. This past weekend I was in NYC for a children's book conference.

DeleteI love how your coast is so very different than ours. I do envy the sunshine that you have in the winter- I was there a few weeks ago and while it was cold, it was also beautiful! ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful rest of your week,
