I've heard a lot in the news about the power of playing.
...that it helps one to learn and grow....
So I thought I'd test the theory.
I haven't played in a while.
I think I want to do more!
Maybe my kids will want to play too.
Or maybe they will just roll
their eyes
and
shake their heads.
That's ok.
I'll play again.
Try it.
You'll like it :)
i love this! i need to play more.
ReplyDeleteDon't we all! :) Have fun!
DeleteOh, my goodness! Your play is beautiful artwork! I am a watercolor LOVER. These are so sweet. Keep playing. It suits you!

Gorgeous! I definitely need to play more as well.

DeleteWe should start an adult playgroup!
Those are beautiful! I think I see a new category in your shop! Keep going!!! You have inspired me too. I think I'll make some time this weekend to pull out my paints.

DeleteI wish Steph! Yes, paint....it is relaxing, and fun! I find that sitting the kids at the island with paints is a good idea....then they are not asking you for things and you can concentrate! Watercolors are such easy clean up too!
Hi, Monica - Wonderful illustrations!!! You've captured their spirit beautifully. Such joie de vivre! You are so talented :)
ReplyDeleteStay warm, my friend ~ xo, Loi
DeleteThanks loi! Did you see our oxalis?? A houseplant I know we both share, if my memory is correct!
I love playing! I love it even more when people compliment me for it! Wow!
Beautiful, we should all play more often - happy you had a quiet time to reconnect with your inner you. That is where the healing comes from...
ReplyDeleteKeep playing, it will be back to work before you know it!
Have a good weekend.
Ivan
DeleteI will be back before you know it Ivan, you are right! I miss the kids! I DON'T miss leaving the house on cold, dark, icy winter mornings and driving nervously to school.
I have to play inside during the winter too. Do not like the cold. Love your garden pics and can't wait to see it in all its glory. Bet you can't wait either.

DeleteBefore you know it Donna...I am dreaming of pumpkins long vines twisting through the garden path....zinnias to the moon and back...can't wait!
Hi ND! I've been catching up on your posts! You are so artistic! I really like the hydrangeas. I need to play more. I gather from the comments that you are recovering from something, so I wish you a speedy recovery! It was cold and dark and snowy and icy when I got up this morning (in Colorado), and I was so glad I didn't have to nervously drive to school today. This is my first year of retirement, and it's on days like this that I dance for joy that I am retired. I do miss the kiddos though. I liked your butterfly too; and your junco photos. I am in awe of creative people!

ReplyDeleteHi FD! Glad you came by for a little "reading"! I am recovering from a hysterectomy 20 days ago. I am envious that you are retired! If I had a way to stay home and earn $$, I would (as I am also a teacher...21 years)....I am SO glad that I am out for the snowy/icy months too! That is the hardest part of leaving early for work in the winter. I have been taking it easy, but trying to set at least one goal each day. See you soon!
