Our first snowfall.
I took a walk while the moon was up.
It was so peaceful...and so cold.
The promise of blue skies and sunshine hung heavy like the snow from the tips of the branches.
The Christmas tree my husband and kids brought in from the woods pretends she has spread roots....
Our garden's namesake....
Our "front door" which faces sideways....
Our little street seems to go on forever....
A Cedar weeping...
Seems like just yesterday I was photographing a lush, bountiful garden from this same spot.
Now I look and dream. Dream of zinnias and pumpkins and warm summer breezes.

The entrance calls to me in a ghostly voice that spins on the wind...
The bones of the greenhouse, stripped by the hurricane, frame out the lavender. We may need to
clear the heavy snow off today...otherwise the plants may sustain damage....
Around 7:15 and the sun hasn't risen off of the horizon....
Apple Trees laden with snow and lichens
Our other apple tree...in need of a big spring clean up due to heavy hurricane winds.
A garden fence becomes modern art.
Hoping our garlic, tucked in under its white blanket is safe....
A creative tomato cage....more modern sculpture....
Last spring's project enjoys its first winter.....
Time to head in for a warm drink...my fingers are numb.
As I write, the sun is up, the sky is a brilliant blue.
Enjoy a day of rest.
Peace.
