I am hoping that the tomatoes will ripen on our deck...
I feel a lot of sauce in our future....
...tucked away for a brisk fall night as the last orange leaves float down to the ground...or mid December in a big pot of chili....
We are blessed to have this abundance. I will work hard to use every bit.
Waste Not .....Want Not.

Try green fried tomatoes. Sooo delicious!!

DeleteI think I will! I need to find some good gluten-free crumbs...I'm going to order from Katz...they ahould have some tasty ones, or make my own from C's Udi's bread. How's NYC?
WOW!! Are you serious? Holy cow....your crop is very impressive :) I gave up on our 2 tomato plants this year....not good at all :(

DeleteThanks Loi! I have frozen enough already to make LOTS of winter meals...blanched tomatoes are so perfect when you freeze for stews and soups. i've also dehydrated quite a bit to use in a nice olive oil sauce on pasta. Honestly, I'm looking forward to reclaiming my kitchen counters!
What a bounty of goodness you have. I eat cherry tomatoes with chick peas and avocado everyday for lunch. Massachusetts has been hit hard with EEE. I haven't gone to the bog for walks in a long time.

DeleteI just ran out and picked up two avocados. You inspired me!
Sorry about the spraying, I didn't realize it was so bad in your area. Where I teach was just put on a high alert, I wish we could eliminate those insects-they have no use!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been busy in the kitchen!! I have to tell you, when we remodeled our "forever kitchen" I almost bought that range, I went with the DCS in 2006. I hope after you write the CEO you get some satisfaction!
DeleteSo glad you didn't!
Oh my gosh!!!! Those are a few tomatoes you might say!!! How wonderful!

DeleteJust a couple.....
WOW! I would say that is a ton of tomatoes! Thanks for visiting my blog. BTW, your guess was close for the item that I had listed on blog. It is actually used for canele's. It has a custard type inside with a carmelized crust. Have not made these yet, however, I will include on my blog.

DeletePlease do! I will check back for these!
I thought our little tomato tree was bountiful (I only managed to pick 3 yesterday) but this is AMAZING! You could open a little tomato stall with these pickings!
ReplyDeleteWe did have a little stand this summer...but we have a quiet street....
DeleteI actually dream about fresh Tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Bobby
DeleteYummmmm...sliced with mozzarella...or layered in a BLT on yummy bread with a slice of cheese....or on toast with mayo....can you tell I'm on a diet? Dreaming....
