Let Them Eat Cake

My husband turned 50 in January... so the cake for his party had to be special. Meredith from The Artisan Kitchen made a tower of the most amazing red velvet cupcakes with buttercream icing. The Artisan Kitchen is a bakery here on the south coast of Massachusetts. Visit the site for more info...what's not to love?

I was shopping at The Paper Store with my daughter today, and we couldn't help but check out the spring colors and patterns of Vera Bradley. My absolute favorite is called Sittin in a Tree, although Loves Me is adorable too! Revamped styles make the Vera bags a nice colorful burst of style.

What I Miss the Most

Our Neighbor's Roses
Treasured Tuberous Begonias

Our Lavender

We live in an area of New England that has had its share of snow this winter. Usually we get snow, but because we are so close to Cape Cod, it changes to rain, or is washed away a few days later. Not this winter. We are fully covered.I miss...

The Hydrangeas

I tried to upload a sledding video...we are very lucky to have an awesome sledding yard...which I guess is a perk with all of this snow! (Why can't I upload from my Flip camera?)

Enjoying February vacation. I don't want it to end.

Volunteer...Get Free Disney Tickets!

Sorry, my links aren't working right now...but you can cut and paste this URL into your browser.

What a great opportuniity! We are thinking of visiting Disney this summer. We may be visiting our friends at their Georgia home this summer, and they suggested we take the 3 hour ride to Disney. Our kids, 6 and 11 have never been. This offer from Disney is to good to refuse! We will be volunteering at our local Oceanarium. It will be our first volunteer experience as a family; and I think it will feel so good to give back to the community.

Slides Full of Memories

My dad took loads of slides of us in the late 60's and all through the 70's. My mom was pregnant with her 5th and looking gorgeous. And I think that glow around my head was definitely my halo...although my brothers and sisters would not agree! I loved my baby doll...Baby Tender Love I think...(I'm on the top step)
