Ok, here they are 2 of the recipes I promised:
1 lb hot ground sausage (I like linguica or chourico)
2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
2 1/2 cups Bisquik
Mix all ingredients together. Roll into balls. Place on ungreased baking sheetI use parchment). Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
(If sausage is uncooked, cook FIRST, then grind or crumble. If using ground linguica, heat in micro for 2 minutes before using in recipe)
8 slices thin sliced bread
2 cups shredded cheese
Cut crusts from bread, then cut each slice in half. For each puff, place 2 bread halves, end to end on a strip of bacon. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons shredded cheese. Roll up and fasten with tooth pick. Stand rolls on edge on a rack in a shallow baking pan.(I just use a cookie sheet with parchment).
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, or until bacon seems browned and crispy. Serve hot.
Makes 12 puffs.
Also, for my blogging friends wondering about Walk Away the Pounds: I use the 4 Mile Express every night. It's great, because if I'm tired and want to stop at 3 miles, the I stop and do the cool down and stretches. If I'm feeling energetic, I keep going. Consistency is the key. Also, I have cut WAY back on snacking, and have reduced portion size significantly.
