Beautiful pictures, I grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts, brings back great summer memories, especially the lilacs. Thank you!
You have such a beautiful home and yard! Thanks for sharing!
That is so beautiful!! I wish we had dormers on our Cape. I would love that extra space and light in the bedrooms! Is that lavender? If so, boy, do I need your help!! Last year we planted a lavender edge along our walk and it made it through the winter, looked OK, bloomed and now looks dead and brown! I have no idea what to do with it.
Susan-Thanks for the compliment! I have lived in this area all of my life and adore it!Kathy-Thanks...my pleasure!Steph- Thanks. The kids bedrooms are the dormers. As for the lavender...I LOVe it and it grows best in our sandy soil and without a lot of fuss. After it blooms, grab the lavender in a bunch at the base of their stems. Twist, and cut with small hand pruners. You will enjoy the green foliage for the rest of the season. Since I have been faithful about this, our plants have looked better and better. Some of them are now 10 years old! Hope that helps...our vision is to plant MANY rows of it...maybe in the future. ENJOY!
Looks like a fabulous summer to me! Jo
